If you want to visit Scandinavia’s largest fair for electric cars, eCarExpo is the place to visit. There will be many car premieres at this year’s edition of eCarExpo in Gothenburg. Perhaps the hottest is the Polestar 3, which will then be shown to the public for the very first time. A fitting place because the car was developed and designed specifically in Gothenburg. Lotus’ brand new electric SUV Eletre will also be premiered at the fair. Also a car with a Gothenburg connection as it was designed by Peter Hobury who lives in Gothenburg.
The Polestar 3 which was both designed and developed in Gothenburg attracted enormous attention when it was shown to press and invitees in Copenhagen the other week. The car is the brand’s first SUV and an extremely well-equipped car with impressive performance. Among other things, a battery of a whopping 111 kW that can be fast-charged with up to 250 kW. The range according to WLTP is estimated at 61 miles.
Another long-awaited premiere is the Lotus Eletre. The Lotus Eletre is not a cheap car and maybe not the first car you buy, but well worth looking into because it is a really stylish and delicious electric car. The classic car brand is now making a big investment in larger volumes and electrification. Eletre is called “Hyper suv”, can be had with up to 900 hp and should do 0-100 in under three seconds. An interesting detail is that the design work has been led by Peter Hobury, who for many years was head of design at Volvo and who still lives in the city today.
